Partner Offer Scorecard
Use this before you put an affiliate link in front of your audience. If you cannot clearly explain who the product helps, what it does, and who should skip it, you are not ready to recommend it.
1. Write the product in plain English
2. Score the five signals from 1 to 5
Give it a 1 when the answer is generic or unproven. Give it a 5 when you can explain it with a real use case.
Can I name the frustrating situation this fixes? Example: “I need a site but do not know where to start.”
Can I name the exact audience member who would care, such as a new local service owner?
Can I say what they will have or be able to do after using it, without using hype?
Can they try the core idea in an hour or less before committing to a bigger build?
Would I still recommend it if the affiliate link did not exist?
3. Write the actual recommendation
Use this format. It forces you to give context, not just a sales line.
4. Make the call
21–25: You have enough clarity to make a useful recommendation. 16–20: Test it or gather a specific example before you promote it. 15 or below: Do not recommend it yet. The problem may be real, but the explanation is not ready.
