Building This Business Has Been a Mess (But I'm Still Here)

I need to vent for a minute. If you have ever tried to build something from scratch by yourself, you probably know exactly how I am feeling right now.

Building PaidSolo has been incredibly frustrating lately. I started this affiliate marketing and blogging business because I love tech and AI tools. I thought I had a solid plan. But reality has a funny way of messing with your plans.

Lately, it feels like nothing is converting. You put hours into creating content, setting up links, and trying to get everything perfect. Then you look at the numbers and it is just crickets. It makes you question if you are doing anything right at all.

I actually had to pivot my entire website and approach recently. That was not fun. Tearing down what you built and starting over is exhausting. It feels like taking ten steps backward just to find the right path forward.

And do not even get me started on the tools. I write about AI and tech, so you would think I have it all figured out. Nope. Half the time, the AI tools I rely on just refuse to cooperate. They spit out nonsense or break right when I need them most.

Then there are the little things that drive you crazy. Forms that do not make sense. Plugins that conflict with each other. The general chaos of trying to be the writer, the developer, the marketer, and the IT guy all at once. Being a one-person operation means every single problem lands on your desk.

There are days when I just want to close the laptop and walk away.

But I haven't. And I won't.

Because despite all the headaches, the broken tools, and the zero-conversion days, I still believe in what I am doing. I know this space. I know these tools can help people. I just have to figure out the right way to connect the dots.

Every time I fix a broken form or finally get an AI prompt to work, it feels like a tiny victory. Those little wins keep me going.

I know it is going to come together. It might take longer than I wanted. It might look different than my original plan. But I am going to keep pushing forward.

If you are out there struggling to build your own thing, just know you are not alone. It is messy and chaotic and frustrating. But we will get there.
